JACKSON

Weiser Signal 21 Jan 1892

"DIED On Mann Creek, Jan 16th, 1892, of consumption, John A. Jackson age 55 years. Deceased was a pioneer of this county. The remains were laid away in the "Galloway" graveyard."

In Maude Adams Baker's story (from Mann Creek Memoirs) she states 'The Jackson lot in the Old Pioneer Cemetery on Guy Galloway's farm contains the graves of John Jackson, Mary Jackson, baby Jackson and Mary Ottman (daughter.)"

Mary Ottman was not a daughter of John and Mary Jackson, but was the daughter of Fred and Isabella (Jackson) Ottman. Isabella was my grandmother through her second marriage to John T. Smith Sr. Sent by Helen Crowley <helenc@clatskanie.com>
