COMBS - WILSON - WILLIAMCDF@AOL.COM

Albert and Amanda COMBS were living at Midvale around 1910. If there is any remaining record of them, I hope to learn something of their time there.

Reverend Oscar Fitzalan Dunreath WILSON, a Baptist preacher, lived at Cambridge with his wife and children between 1905 and 1908. The WILSON family returned to Missouri in 1908. If there was a Baptist Church in Cambridge during that period, he may have served it in some way. I would be most grateful for any suggestions that might direct me to any type of written history of the WILSON family during that time. My impression is that Reverend O. F. D. WILSON was ordinarily a 'circuit rider.'

JOHN L. ROSS - land patent - myongue@msn.com

My husband, Dean Yongue, has the patent, U.S.A., to John L. Ross, dated March 17, 1899 and it's signed by President Wm. McKinley, or most likely, by his secretary, F.M. McKean.

It is Homestead Cert. # 1429, Application 3374 and it was recorded in vol. 25, page 451. Dean said that he would send a copy of it to whoever would be interested in it.

This is the property description: North east quarter of the south west quarter of section seventeen in township thirteen north of range three west of Boise Meridian in Idaho, containing forty acres.

The reason we have it is because his grandfather, Wm. Wherter Yongue, bought the same land from Frank and Martha Ross in 1915.

" In 1908 Floyd took the girls and me to Guymon in the buggy where we entrained for Idaho to visit my family. I had not seen them since they had left Bosque County, years before.
